Detroit Speed’s rack and pinions have been optimized to provide an exceptional modern performance feel on the street and on the track and are in a 21.5″ narrow width. This is one of the only racks with a 21.5” width in the aftermarket industry!

- ‘Detroit Tuned’ valving specifically to provide the increased effort and performance feel found in late model performance vehicles.
- All new components
- Every rack undergoes a rigorous quality check and is performance tested prior to being packaged.
- Includes polyurethane mounting bushings.
- Features an internal, inner tie rod boot balance tube.
Note: This rack and pinion is designed to work with our NEW (Purchased after 4/1/2024) G-Comp 1962-67 Chevy II Nova Front Suspension kits, our G-Comp Universal Front Suspension kits, and all Detroit Speed Aluma-Frames and Chevy II Front Frames. This is not a bolt-in rack for stock applications.
Note: For competition applications, the Detroit Speed rack & pinion fluid transfer conversion kit will replace the hardlines on your Detroit Speed rack & pinion using -4 AN steel fittings. The hoses are Teflon lined to handle the high-pressure demands of the steering system and come with pre-crimped stainless steel fittings to attach to the -4 AN fittings.
This is now Nickel Zinc in color. Not Yellow Zinc.
